The soda is out of the can as Mountain Dew unveiled the mystery flavor for its popular VooDew drink on Halloween.
The soft drink brand, produced and owned by PepsiCo, said the "mystery treat" combined with Mountain Dew's citrus kick is "pink fruit candy."
"This year’s pink fruit candy flavor draws inspiration from iconic Halloween flavors that gives our Mountain Dew fans something festive they can sip on all spooky season," a spokesperson for the brand told USA TODAY in an email.
Launched in September, Mountain Dew VooDew and Mountain Dew VooDew Zero Sugar remain available on shelves nationwide for a limited time in 20-ounce bottles and 12-ounce 12-packs. Customers can also partake in the Mountain Dew VooDew in a frozen format at Circle K locations.
What is Mountain Dew VooDew?
Mountain Dew VooDew is a limited-time soda offering containing a mystery flavor. The drink "takes thrill seekers on an epic taste adventure by merging a mystery treat with the refreshing citrus kick of Mountain Dew, to unleash a daring new flavor that inspires fans to gather with their crew for a (explicit) good time during the Halloween season," according to the brand's news release.
The brand usually announces its VooDew drink flavors on Halloween.
Previous Mountain Dew VooDew flavors
The previous Mountain Dew VooDew flavors include Cherry Airheads (2023), Sour Patch Kids (2022), Starburst (2021), Skittles (2020) and Candy Corn (2019).
