Nicki Minaj is reflecting on a memorable moment 4 life.
The "Super Bass" rapper got real about motherhood and childbirth in a recent video, seemingly recounting the day she and husband Kenneth Petty welcomed their 3-year-old son, who they nicknamed Papa Bear.
"One day, they're yelling 'push' and you're in pain," Nicki—clad in heavy eye makeup and a pink satin bonnet—whispered in a clip shared to her Instagram Story. "Then one day, he comes out a beautiful baby boy. To God be the glory."
While the 41-year-old, who is currently on tour in Europe, didn't specify exactly what inspired her to share the video, she did leave a touching message for "every mama out there."
"You're doing a great job," Nicki added. "In case no one's told you that, you're doing a great job."
The 45-second clip, which is no longer live on her Instagram Story, follows another cryptic note from the "Starships" emcee. On June 10, Nicki simply shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, "Yes, Single…"
The short message prompted her followers to ask whether she was speaking about music or her relationship status.
"Like you're dropping one or you are?" one fan inquired, while another wrote, "We need more details than that."
E! News has reached out to Nicki's rep for comment but hasn't heard back.
In the past, Nicki has been open about the challenges of being a working mom. After all, she is a firm believer that "there's no such thing as confidence in parenthood."
"I kind of wish that someone had told me—although I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to understand it—that there's a level of anxiety, and you think it's going to go away, but in fact it gets scarier," she told Vogue last year. "So often you think: I don't know how to do this!"
Noting how there "are questions that you can't just Google," Nicki continued, "Every day a mom has to wake up and be a supermom no matter what they're faced with."
"So now, if I find myself trying to control it all, I try to remember what's really important," she added. "I look in my son's face, and my whole soul lights up. He has no clue how nerve-racking it's been for me to be a mother and an artist."
